About Me

I had a client who wanted to know more about me...my background...what experience I have....I first began shooting professionally at a newspaper, when I was 19...I graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in journalism/photojournalism in 1980...you do the math...

I have worked at television stations as a reporter/videographer...major newspapers as a reporter/photographer...at magazines as a feature reporter/photographer.

I have seen good things and bad things. But now...I am a photographer of children and families and weddings..and animals! In particular, I volunteer at PAWS, a local animal shelter, photographing their adoptive doggies and kitties for their website and Facebook page. I love the smell of babies and puppy breath!

I moved to Destin in 1993 as a single mom...it was a great place to raise my son...We had great times there...In 2004, I married the love of my life...I now have three stepchildren...they are all grown and we have two grandsons...I love the beach...not the sand..and love working out and jogging...I don't go very far into the Gulf because I am afraid of sharks!

We have 10 small birds, two bunnies, two cats and four dogs...Two Newfoundlands and two rescues...Roscoe is a Lhasa Apso, and Marley is a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Boxer mix.
