I am sad...this is the email I received from her mom..

".Our Holly Dolly is in a better place now. She was surrounded by people who loved her. Thank you for all your love, support and prayers.

I received an email this morning from Holly's mom...just wanted to share

A mother's STRENGTH. Surpasses any physical strength on earth. It comes deep within and radiates out with such power no one can fathom.

A mother's LOVE. So deep, it encompasses all of her being. Each breath, every heart beat radiates her love.

A mother's PRIDE. No one could be prouder than to be the mother of this special "Chosen Child". So grateful to be the one to be at her side for she is so courageous.

A mother's PEACE. Knowing that God's loving arms have embraced this child. There is an aura of spiritual peace transcending.

A mother's PRAYER, A prayer that the LOVE given by so many (that I can not name them all.) will be given back two fold. For all that LOVE surrounding this child brings a healing presence.

That this prayer may bring peace to all who read it.

Please continue to pray for Holly. I will continue to update you whenever I can.

A note can be uplifting!!

Alex is a senior!!!

Alex and his 16-year-old sister Lauren and his mom and dad traveled to Destin on Monday to have his senior pictures made; and the family took the opportunity to have group pictures made as well! He is such a handsome young man--basketball player---and his sister will be a senior before you know it! Here are some of their photos on a beautiful, calm beach evening.

Holly Burke

I have posted previously about Holly...she is a sweet, beautiful, 19-year-old whose high school senior portraits I photographed earlier this summer. She has been in Memphis since then, at St. Jude's, battling a rare type of cancer that attacks teenagers. While the doctors gave her limited days a few weeks ago, we have continued to believe God for her healing! He is the Great Physician! I received an email last night from her mom, Carol:

" Holly has a severe case of pneumonia. She has been sedated, intubated and has a breathing tube in to do the breathing for her. This will help her rest and help get the lungs a better chance to fight the infection. Please keep her in your prayers. The next couple of days will be critical. Sorry I was not able to call. No cell phones are allowed in the ICU. I am very tired and have just finished taking care of Scott and getting him settled down for the night. I will try to keep you posted. God BLess Carol Holly Burke" Please lift her up and thank God for her healing. She had planned to marry her boyfriend, Kyle, in a couple of weeks in Greenville, S.C.

Bamboo Christmas tree

Larue was so cute to design the bamboo Christmas tree with seashells as garland and ornaments. She had the portrait session for she and her husband and their four grandchildren...so much fun!!
